Pickup Hockey

Pickup is a casual playing opportunity where players are randomly divided into 2 or 3 teams each week.

Pickup is meant to be low cost and fun. It is open people of all skill levels. If you're learning to play, haven't played in a while, or just want to take things for fun without keeping score — then pickup is for you!

Location

For the past couple of seasons, we have hosted pickup at the Fields at RFK. It is accessible via public transportation.

Details of the exact field location along with directions will be sent upon completing registration.

Please note the fields at RFK are not lined for field hockey. The organizer will explain the field boundaries each week for those new to playing pickup.

Additionally, RFK does not have field hockey goals. Goalies are still welcome to sign up, and we will provide pop-up goals on those occasions.

About Registration

Spring Season

Pickup will be held on Friday evenings at the Fields at RFK from 8-10 pm. Signups are on a drop-in basis, so you may sign up for each week you are free. The current signups are for the first six sessions. Signups for the later sessions will go on sale in April. The cost for each session is $8.
